Reflections on The Year 2025 at embedUR
The year 2025 is a definitive landmark in the history of embedUR. Over the past twelve months, our team transformed the landscape of “Physical AI,” taking it from a boardroom vision to a global reality. While others debated the limits of the Edge, we redefined them. We spent this year operating at the absolute peak of our craft, bridging the gap between raw silicon and human-centric intelligence.
From the bustling corridors of Embedded World in Nuremberg to our high-velocity engineering hubs in Chennai and Silicon Valley, the “embedUR effect” was felt everywhere. We secured our position as the Industry Kingmaker, acting as the essential software engine behind the flagship launches of the world’s semiconductor giants.
This year, we demonstrated that a bootstrapped, engineering-first culture can outpace and out-innovate any competitor. Being named “Partner of the Year” by the Edge AI Foundation was the crowning achievement of a 365-day sprint where we hit every milestone with clinical precision.
Looking back at 2025, we see a company that has truly come of age. We stood shoulder to shoulder with the titans of tech, not as observers, but as partners in some of their most critical breakthroughs.
Engineering the Impossible
In 2025, embedUR doubled down on its role as the bridge between silicon innovation and market adoption. For over two decades, we have been the hands-on engineering force behind the firmware and connectivity stacks for various industry giants. A one-click compile offering seamless deployment to hardware with partners from every industry imaginable. This year, we evolved that partnership model to meet the specific, high-velocity demands of the AI era.
We recognized that even the most powerful chip is only as good as the software ecosystem surrounding it. Our focus in 2025 was to help silicon vendors round out their developer experience by providing production-ready models and blueprints required to turn raw hardware into intelligent products.
Helping Silicon Vendors Ship AI-Ready Chips
We helped our partners bring their flagship AI-native silicon to market with high-impact, real-world utility.
The NXP “215 KB” UWB Breakthrough: We optimized a complex Ultra-Wideband (UWB) sensing AI solution on NXP’s Trimension platform. By achieving high-fidelity gesture recognition within a 215 KB footprint, we helped NXP demonstrate that secure, camera-free spatial awareness is a production-ready reality for automotive and mobile OEMs.
The Infineon DEEPCRAFT™ AI Hub: In a deep-level collaboration, we launched the DEEPCRAFT™ AI Hub. Our engineers ported and optimized over 20 advanced AI models specifically for the PSOC™ Edge platform. This effort turned raw hardware into a plug-and-play AI powerhouse, enabling Infineon’s global customers to deploy “Physical AI” solutions in record time.
The Synaptics Astra & SR-Series Launch: As the Trusted Software Partner for Synaptics’ SR-Series MCUs, we developed the AI-native processing layers and SDK components that allow developers to harness multimodal, context-aware computing without starting from scratch.
The Ceva NeuPro Synergy: We delivered low-latency pose estimation and audio denoising on Ceva’s NeuPro NPU family, proving that embedUR can extract maximum performance from even the most specialized, high-efficiency hardware.
ModelNova & Fusion Studio: Democratizing the Future
In 2025, embedUR extended its work beyond individual solutions by strengthening the ecosystem around Physical AI. Based on years of experience building and deploying embedded systems in production environments, we focused on making it easier for developers to move from early experimentation to production-ready devices without unnecessary friction.
The ModelNova Expansion: 150+ Production-Ready Models
In 2025, ModelNova expanded from a curated library into a broader collection of edge-optimized intelligence. The repository grew from 50 models to more than 150 pre-trained, validated, and optimized AI models, which were expanded and licensed to partners as part of their developer ecosystems.
The library moved beyond basic classification to include architectures for image segmentation (YOLOv8), pose estimation (MediaPipe), and natural language navigation, all adapted for highly constrained, low-power hardware. These models were designed for real deployment, supporting applications such as:
Smart Kitchens: Real-time ingredient recognition and recipe generation running fully on-device
Automotive Safety: Driver distraction and occupancy monitoring with millisecond-level response times
Industrial Integrity: Automated defect detection and structural health monitoring
The Fusion Studio Revolution: The Edge AI IDE
To complement the raw power of ModelNova, we launched the Fusion Studio Beta Program. We addressed the “tangled mess” of scripts and cloud tools by delivering an all-in-one Desktop IDE for Edge AI development.
Fusion Studio changed the game for AI engineers facing real products and real deadlines. We turned months of R&D into weeks of agile development by unifying the entire pipeline into one seamless desktop application:
Annotate & Prepare: Visual data labeling and dataset management.
Train & Retrain: High-velocity model training using ModelNova blueprints, all without the cost of cloud compute.
Benchmark & Validate: Direct visibility into size, speed, and accuracy on target silicon before a single unit is manufactured.
One-Click Compile: Seamless deployment to hardware from partners like Infineon, Synaptics, and NXP.
By providing this “secret weapon,” we empowered engineers to become the smartest people in the room, capable of pulling an MVP out of a hat even when projects seemed off the rails.
The World Was Watching
At Embedded World 2025, embedUR was the talk of the town. We didn’t just have a presence; we had a platform. The electricity at our booth (Hall 4, Booth 4-601 in Nuremberg) was undeniable—a constant hum of engineers, silicon executives, and innovators realizing that the “Edge” isn’t a roadmap item for the future; it is here, and it is powered by embedUR.
We turned the exhibition floor into a living laboratory, proving that high-performance AI can thrive on low-power silicon. Our demonstrations were more than just code, they were experiences:
1: The “Invisible Eye” & Crowd Sensing (Synaptics): In a high-stakes collaboration with Synaptics, we debuted the “Invisible Eye.” Using a privacy-first sensor and a standard camera, our models performed real-time, on-device crowd monitoring and individual counting. We proved that sophisticated vision AI can be both high-precision and privacy-conscious, running entirely on Synaptics SL-Series hardware.
2: The Smart Kitchen Revolution (Infineon): We brought “Physical AI” into the heart of the home. Attendees were captivated by our voice-activated system running on the Infineon PSOC™ Edge platform. With a simple wake-word, the AI recognized diverse ingredients in a photo and instantly generated recipes, 100% locally.
3: The Map Guide Assistant: In a display of generative capabilities at the edge, we showcased a Contextual Language Model running on an SL-Series board. This assistant navigated attendees through the complexities of the event, providing precise booth locations and event info in natural language, proving that LLMs have a place on the edge.
4: Secure Facial Onboarding & Lockboxes: We demonstrated the future of security with a mobile-to-edge facial recognition onboarding system. Users registered on a mobile app, and the PSOC™ Edge platform recognized them in real-time to unlock a secure lockbox. This demo showed the world that secure, low-latency authentication is now possible on tiny MCUs.
